Join Our Team as a Sustainability & Financial Reporting Specialist!

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Sustainability & Financial Reporting Specialist to join our finance team. In this key role, you will lead the development and implementation of reporting frameworks aligned with ASRS S1 and S2 for both the Fund and Trustee. You will play an instrumental role in shaping our sustainability and climate-related disclosures while ensuring compliance with financial and regulatory standards.

Position key accountabilities :

Reporting to the Head of Finance & Reporting, you will :

Monitor and interpret accounting and sustainability standards for reporting.
Support climate scenario analysis, carbon exposure modelling, and asset-level disclosures across the Fund’s investment portfolio.
Work closely with the investments, strategy and risk teams to report on climate-related risks and transition strategies.
Collaborate with internal teams to enhance financial reporting procedures and controls.
Coordinate the audit of both financial and Sustainability disclosures with external auditors and provide supporting documentation.
Provide insights and recommendations to improve financial reporting processes.
Champion continuous improvement in Sustainability data systems, internal controls, and governance processes.
Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory changes affecting financial and sustainability reporting.

Required qualifications, skills & experience :

We'd love to hear from you if you have the following :

5+ years financial reporting experience with either 2+ years of experience working in a sustainability / climate reporting function, or 2+ years of experience as a Consultant / Auditor focusing on Sustainability reporting in financial services

Sound knowledge of Australian Sustainability Reporting Standards AASB S1 and AASB S2 and Australian Accounting Standards

Preferred but not required experience in the superannuation, funds management, or broader financial services sector

The ability to interpret standards and develop processes and frameworks to compile new reports and enhance existing reporting

To be a self-starter and independent worker

To be highly self-motivated with excellent interpersonal skills

Great organisation skills to plan and deliver to tight deadlines with close attention to detail

Experience working with auditors

Knowledge of software or IT platform change initiatives
