Warehouse / Transport Manager

HD Logistics are seeking a motivated, experienced and capable warehouse and transport manager.

• Key Responsibilities
• Manage and oversee daily warehouse and transport operations, ensuring all activities are completed safely and efficiently.
• Supervise, train, and evaluate warehouse staff to ensure proper handling of goods and compliance with safety standards.
• Monitor inventory levels, conduct regular stock audits, and implement strategies to improve inventory accuracy.
• Develop and maintain strong working relationships with vendors, suppliers, and other stakeholders.
• Liaise with existing clients to book in work and ensuring all deliveries are carried out in a timely manner and maintaining client relationships.
• Coordinate and manage the receipt, storage, and dispatch of goods, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.
• Implement and maintain warehouse management systems (WMS) to track inventory and streamline operations.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies in all warehouse activities.
• Prepare and maintain reports on warehouse performance, inventory, and logistics.
• Handle any issues related to customer orders, returns, and damaged goods.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
• Qualifications
• Proven experience (2 years minimum) in Management. Preferably in Warehousing / Logistics Industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and inventory control.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• A strong understanding of safety procedures and regulations.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software
• Forklift Licence essential
