About The Role

Stellar Recruitment, in partnership with Enaex Australia, is seeking an experienced Shotfirer to join an exciting Xpress Crew for blasting operations across various sites. This role involves carrying out shotfiring operations, ensuring safety and efficiency, with travel, flights, and accommodation provided. It offers variety and the chance to make an impact across multiple locations.

Enaex is a global leader in industrial-grade ammonium nitrate and rock fragmentation services, with over 20 years of experience in Australia’s mining sector, focusing on safety and sustainability.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out surface shotfiring operations, complying with blast plans and safety regulations.
  • Manage explosives' delivery, storage, and use, maintaining inventory control.
  • Supervise blast personnel during loading, tie-ins, and initiation.
  • Monitor post-blast activities for safety.
  • Identify and manage risks like misfires and fume events.
  • Contribute to safety improvements and policy compliance.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as a Shotfirer in mining.
  • Knowledge of explosive handling, blasting procedures, safety protocols.
  • Understanding of risk management.
  • Effective communication skills and teamwork.
  • Commitment to safety and a ‘Zero Harm’ culture.

    • Minimum Requirements

  • Current Shotfirer License (State-specific).
  • Open Class Manual Driver’s License.
  • State Security and Police checks.
  • S11 & Coal Board Medical.
  • RIIBLA201A, RIIBLA301A, RIIRIS301A, RIICOM301A certifications.
