The role :

Due to the growth of the business, we are looking for a Building Surveyor to be based in our WA office. The role will manage and maintain technical processes to assess and review projects and assist Managers, including operational management of the QHSE systems. The role will also ensure compliance with relevant legislation and governing bodies to effectively deliver client and project needs and expectations.

Key Accountabilities :

• Assessing project documentation and liaising with clients, making recommendation for compliance with the Building Act and Regulation and Building Code of Australia
• To facilitate the issuance of building permits in a fast, courteous and efficient manner. Where compliance is not possible, to advise on modification or performance variations to procedures and the investigation of alternative avenues for resolution.
• Providing documentation management including ensuring that job files and other office systems are completed in an accurate and timely manner.
• Ensuring communication with authorities and councils via notification of requests for information is timely and accurate at all times.
• Preparation of technical reports overviewing compliance requirements and recommendations for projects.
