The Asphalt business within the Construction Materials is targeted for future growth.Role SummaryAs the Finance Business Partner, you will provide financial and operational support to the Managing Director, General Managers, and other operational managers within the Asphalt business.
You will be responsible for financial management of the Asphalt finance team.Key ResponsibilitiesOperational support to GMs including : Job / contract profitability analysis (from tendering stage to job completion)Business case development for new CAPEX opportunitiesContract review and oversight of contract obligationsProvision, analysis, and presentation of key business driver information on a timely basis to operational management (including development of operational dashboards with support from MGH finance team)Budgeting And ForecastingKey driver of annual budgets and quarterly reforecasts including liaison with key stakeholders to build budget assumptions, challenging of assumptions based on analysis, template management, presentation to internal business and MGHCashflow forecasting analysis including working capital targetsMonthly management of financial model to ensure financial information available for tenders / financingPreparation of budget presentation packs for the Asphalt board.Assistance in presentation of budget packs alongside GM.End Of Month ReportingResponsibility for the general ledgers of all Asphalt entitiesReview / analysis of end of month P&L, cashflow and return on capital against budget / forecast including analysis of key driver information to senior managementReview of end of month balance reconciliations ensuring appropriate cut-off maintained to meet group reporting deadlinesConsolidation of all Asphalt businesses financial results and preparation of end of month reporting pack to the Asphalt boardAssistance in presentation of end of month packs alongside GM.Funding & CAPEXPartnering with business to develop business cases for new CAPEX inclusive of return on capital analysisManagement of weekly cashflow forecasts (8 weeks) including ongoing working capital analysis to ensure optimal operating cashflowsLiaison with bank to facilitate funding of future CAPEX opportunitiesSystemsOwnership of finance system and processesImplementation (in conjunction with MGH) of uniform ERP solution for the Asphalt groupDevelopment (in conjunction with MGH Power BI analyst) of financial and operational dashboards to assist wider business with relevant and timely dataKey Contact with auditors for the half year review and full year auditReview and lodgement of BAS and IAS for the Asphalt GroupTo Be Successful In This Role You Will NeedCA / CPAAsphalt / Quarries / Concrete / Recycling / Civil Construction background desired5+ years of experience working in a similar financial roleExperience with ERP systems and MS Office, with proven advanced Excel skillsProfessional acumen and proven business partnering ability essentialExcellent analytical and problem-solving skills with an attention to detailDemonstrated initiative and ability to think laterallyExcellent communication skillsHighly organised with an ability to prioritise and adapt to changing demandsBenefits And PerksAn opportunity to make an impact with a growing and forward-thinking ASX company.A competitive salary reflective of your skills and experience.We offer an exciting Employee Benefits Platform that provides access to a range of exclusive discounts on banking, retail and healthcare, as well as novated leasing options.Access to a comprehensive health and wellbeing program.We recognise and reward employees through our monthly Value Awards Program.Continued Professional Development and training.Flexible work options.Opportunities for professional growth within Maas and the broader Group.For more Infromation about this role, please contract
