The Workshop Mechanic role is responsible for carrying out a range of maintenance services. These tasks include pre-delivery, planned maintenance, repairs and service to both our client's fleet and customer owned equipment.
Responsibilities :
- Carrying out vehicle servicing, & inspections
- Troubleshoot forklift problems to include brake, electrical and hydraulic systems, detect imperfections, potential problems, safety issues and / or malfunctions
- Field service reporting on completed maintenance jobs
- Ability to diagnose & action mechanical faults
- Undertake mechanical repairs
- Ability to work on LPG, petrol and diesel systems
- Good working knowledge of brake systems and tyre / wheel changes
- Perform safety inspection on machines prior to being released back to the work floor.
About You :
- Current Trade Certificate in Heavy Diesel Mechanic
- Must hold a current forklift license
- Experience & knowledge of internal combustion engines, hydraulics, pneumatic and electrical systems
- Experience & knowledge of fault diagnostics and software
- Ability to document, record and track servicing and maintenance of all vehicles
