Whether you're experienced in healthcare or eager to start your journey in the perioperative space, this could be the opportunity you've been waiting for!Role BreakdownAs a Crucial Member Of Our Perioperative Unit, You'll Help Keep Our Operating Theatres Running Smoothly And Safely.

Working Closely With Nursing And Surgical Teams, You WillEnsure essential equipment is available, clean, and functioningMaintain stock and manage supplies for proceduresUphold the highest standards of cleaning and waste management (in line with ACORN guidelines)Assist with patient preparation, positioning, and inter-operative tasksTransport specimens and support smooth theatre workflowsYou'll be supporting a range of surgical specialties across our three modern theatres and endoscopy suite, including orthopaedics, ophthalmology, general surgery, obstetrics / gynaecology, urology, and more.RosteringYou will work on a rotating roster, with shifts including : Monday to Friday 7 : 30am – 4 : 00pm / / 8 : 00am – 4 : 30pm / / 10 : 30am – 7 : 00pmWeekend on call 8 : 00am – 6 : 30pmTo see success in this role, you will be able to,Communicate clearly, follow instructions, and remain calm under pressureBe reliable, adaptable, and eager to support a busy clinical environmentShow compassion and professionalism in all patients and team interactionsPrevious healthcare experience is valued, but not essential—if you're a quick learner with a positive attitude, we encourage you to apply!At Hunter New England Health, enjoy a career where you're challenged by interesting work and surrounded by spectacular locations.
