Solutions Architect

Are you an experienced Solutions Architect looking for a new interesting project to join in the new financial year? We currently have a full-time position based in Canberra working on a state-of-the-art Defence Satcom project.

In this role you will be responsible for providing networking and satellite communications solutions concepts, detailed solutions design, systems integration, maintenance program development and training solutions.

As a Solutions Architect you will be required to develop solutions to meet specific International Government customer requirements utilising either existing or newly developed hardware, product configurations and / or services, and must collaborate with functional teams outside of International Government as needed to bring new hardware and services into operation.

Role :

Provision of timely and insightful technical input into the preparation of tender responses Provision of satellite solutions designs and satellite systems integration expertise to clients in support of International Government sales teams and the International Government GX VAR Provide engineering level technical support to the ongoing operations of the International Government GX VAR Specification, documentation and implementation of hardware solutions for mobile and fixed satellite services and particularly the Inmarsat GX satellite service Development and build of customer solutions prior to handing over to the operations team for in life support. Specification, documentation and implementation of hardware solutions for IP networking over satellite Provision of senior engineering level support and technical mentoring to International Government engineers Provision of training and technical presentations Skills & Experience

Must hold a relevant engineering degree, with a demonstrated ability in the satellite communications industry. Must be an Australian Citizen and be capable of achieving a Defence Clearance. Must have demonstrable experience in developing solutions in a pre-sales environment (bids / RFT's / RFQ's) experience in IT, particularly as it applies to satellite communications and networking. Knowledge of Microsoft and Linux based operating system installation and configuration. proficient in the development of maintenance documentation and support programmes for developed solutions based on OEM component documentation. Experience of ILS systems particularly as they relate to ASDEFCON. Self starter and innovative individuals are required. Ability to push boundaries to find the best possible solutions to our customers problems. Please apply in Word format, PDF is also accepted.
