About our Client :

Our client works with the Queensland Government and helps supports the productivity, sustainability and profitability of the states agriculture, fisheries, and forestry industries through biosecurity, research, and strategic resource management.

What you will be doing :

As a Senior farm hand you will apply practical skills and knowledge in animal husbandry by using low-stress stock handling techniques to muster, move, draft and process cattle through yards. This role is located in Wacol, QLD

You will also be tasked the below :

• assist with blood sampling procedures
• Help administer prescribed medical treatments under veterinary supervision.
• Perform daily animal care duties for cattle of all agesfrom calves to adults.
• Feeding, cleaning and sanitising enclosures
• Exercising animals to maintain their health and wellbeing

What you will need

To be successful in this role, you will need confidence and competence in working with large animals, particularly cattle of all ages and have a passion for agriculture. You will also need :
