The Mental Health Educator sits within Safety, Wellbeing and Compliance (SWC), a branch of the PSCC in the Department of Justice and Community Safety (the department). The SWC branch provides process, systems and services to support the department to meet its responsibilities under health and safety laws (_Occupational Health and Safety Act 2004_, _Dangerous Goods Act 1985_ and _Workplace Injury Rehabilitation and Compensation Act 2013_).
- About the Role
As the Mental Health Education Manager, SWC, you will develop, deliver and evaluate materials to address workplace mental health and wellbeing concerns
Some of your duties will include :
- Providing strategic leadership and support through the development, delivery and evaluation of training packages and resources focused on mental health, wellbeing and psychosocial hazards in complex workplaces
- Working collaboratively with Wellbeing Team members and other stakeholders to implement education and training initiatives to address mental health and wellbeing issues in the department
- Providing leadership and support to other training facilitators across the department who are delivering training on mental health and wellbeing.

- About You
- A passion for workplace health, safety and in making a positive impact on complex and high-risk workforces
- Expert knowledge of psychological health improvement strategies, policies and procedures and human resource trends
- Significant experience developing and delivering training and effectively conveying complex information to a wide range of audiences
- A wealth of eexperience providing clinical training or professional development to allied health professionals
- Extensive experience in delivering quality operational and business outcomes in support of the operating environment consistent with the strategic direction of the organisation
- A vast capacity to work with a multi-disciplined team of professionals in the delivery of high-quality wellbeing education programs.
- Qualifications / Requirements : _
- Hold registration as a Psychologist with the Psychology Board of Australia (Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) or Membership of the Australian Association of Social Work (AASW).

- Psychology Board of Australia Approved Supervisor or Australian Association of Social Workers Accredited Supervisor status is desirable.
- Specialist endorsement and / or experience in an organisational, clinical or forensic field would be highly desirable
- Minimum three years post-registration experience, or equivalent
- A current Victorian driver's licence is required
- Certificate IV Training and Assessment (desirable)
