Support Worker - Cook

Do you love food and cooking but want to do it with purpose? Join KKCS’s Centre-Based Respite team, where you’ll prepare meals that bring comfort and joy to older consumer.

About the Role

We’re looking for someone who brings warmth and practical skills to the KKCS Centre-Based Respite team, preparing and serving meals that provide comfort, nourishment and connection. You’ll be responsible for :

• Prepare , cook and serve nutritious meals in line with dietary requirements and food safety standards.
• Plan menus and order stock in collaboration with Work with the CBR Coordinator.
• Work alongside volunteers who assist with meal preparation.
• Provide friendly service to consumers, ensuring a welcoming dining experience.
• Adjust meals to dietary needs.
• Maintain kitchen cleanliness and follow WHS and food safety guidelines.

About You :

• Background in hospitality, catering, aged care or as a support worker. Bonus points if you’re a trained chef or cook!
• Warm, friendly and reliable, with a strong customer focus.
• Organised and adaptable, able to mult-task and work both independently and as part of a team.
• Knowledge of food safety requirements (Safe Food Handling Certificate or willingness to obtain).
• NDIS Check, Police Check, and vaccinations required.
• Essential : Police Check, COVID and Flu vaccinations, First Aid & CPR
