We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled and enthusiastic individual to fill the position of Youth Development Officer on a permanent part-time basis. Working within the Youth Development Team you will design, develop and deliver projects that benefit young people.
This role drives and facilitates the City's Junior Council, a successful City of Mandurah leadership program. Forty-two students representing twenty-one schools are involved in the program and learn about local government, explore issues facing the Mandurah community and advocate for young people. The program gives year six student representatives a chance to interact with all levels of government.
This role also supports the Junior Mayor and Junior Deputy Mayor throughout the year as they fulfil their roles.
Working across the youth and community sector you will be responsible for collaborating with key stakeholders to create innovative and focussed projects that will benefit young people with a range of outcomes which may include; supporting youth leadership, celebrating young people's achievements, facilitating youth access to training and employment, promoting health and wellbeing outcomes for young people and other projects that align with the City of Mandurah's new Youth Strategy.
This permanent part-time (30.4 hours per fortnight) Level 5 position attracts a salary range of $87,623 to $93,338 (pro-rata) gross per annum dependent on qualifications and experience. We are committed to creating a diverse and inclusive workforce.
