Domestic Assistant - Aged Care

The Society of Saint Hilarion Inc Aged Care is a not for profit organisation providing Residential Aged Care services across two sites and Community programs. We are currently seeking Domestic Assistants on a permanent basis across our two sites, Fulham and Seaton.

About the Role : The Domestic Services Assistant delivers a high-quality service for maintaining hygienic conditions within the facility, maintains safe and efficient use of resources and equipment. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :

Undertake assigned cleaning / laundry duties that deliver sustained hygienic conditions.

Use cleaning products safely and efficiently, ensuring a hazard free environment is maintained.

Maintain supplies for customer needs and identify products to be ordered.

Understand and applies the Aged Care Quality Standards 2019.

The Key Candidate : Will have experience in a similar role / s in either Aged Care or Hotel Services (desirable) with a demonstrated ability to consistently apply initiative, knowledge and skill to a high level

Have flexibility around various shift patterns, including days, afternoons and weekends

Have a friendly and positive attitude that delivers harmonious relationships with staff, residents and families. (Good Customer service)

Knowledge of Food Safety, allergy managementand Modified Diets (Catering)

Have sound and effective spoken and written communication skills in English.

Candidates whom speak a second language desirable (Italian or Greek highly desirable) - please include this in your resume. Mandatory requirements for all candidates Valid National Police Check

• Proof of the right to work lawfully in Australia;

100 points of ID (Driver's license, Passport, Birth certificate)
