Roy Morgan, a leading name in Australian research and insights, is seeking a qualified and experienced Carpenter to join our team in the heart of Melbourne. As part of our property and infrastructure division, you will be responsible for a range of skilled carpentry tasks, contributing to the maintenance, refurbishment, and upgrade of our facilities.
Key Responsibilities :
- Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and work plans to guide construction or repair work.
- Accurately measure, cut, and shape wood and other construction materials using both hand and power tools.
- Assemble, install, and repair structures and fixtures such as doors, frames, partitions, furniture, and cabinetry.
- Construct frameworks for buildings and install flooring, walls, ceilings, and roofing materials where necessary.
- Conduct site inspections to assess work progress, identify issues, and ensure work is compliant with safety and quality standards.
- Collaborate with other trades and contractors to ensure efficient workflow and timely project completion.
- Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and adhere to WHS guidelines at all times.
Qualifications & Experience Required :
A minimum Certificate III in Carpentry (or equivalent AQF level qualification). Certificate 4 in building and construction is desirable.At least 2 years of relevant experience in a similar carpentry role.Strong practical skills, attention to detail, and a sound understanding of Australian construction standards.Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.Must have own tools and carThis is a fantastic opportunity to apply your trade skills in a reputable and stable organisation.
