- What you'll do
Reporting to the Port Manager and / or Port Operations Manager, the role is to perform and direct all operational functions, in relation to a vessels port call as direct by the principal and in accordance with government legislation and regulations, port rules and ISS procedures and policies to ensure an efficient vessel port call.
- Performing vessel operations as directed by port management
- Delivering a positive customer experience to both internal and external stakeholders
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and principal requirements
- Processing inward and outward clearances of all vessels
- Performing all arrangements regarding crew movements, medical cases and crew shore passes in coordination with main office and vessel / principal requirements
- Establish and maintain relationships with principals, relevant government departments and agencies, local authorities and service providers
- Performing accurate and timely database management
- Ensuring pre-funding requests are forwarded to the principal prior to vessel arrivals
- Providing the port and head office management with update information on local rules and regulations, changes in port charges, and related requirements other requirements
- Ensuring all cargoes, including dangerous goods and special cargo, are balanced, reconciled and reported within required timeframes.
- Manage supplier invoice processing in conjunction with the shared service team centre.
- Work closely with the Operations Supervisor & National Operations Manager on all operational matters.
- Develop and maintain relationships with principals, relevant government departments and agencies, local authorities and service providers.

- Previous experience with import / export shipping and market and customs processes
- Performing vessel operations
- Ensuring compliance with regulatory and principal requirements
- Fluent in English - both written and spoken
- Ability to work towards a deadline
- A level of computer literacy
