Thanks to NSW Government funding and support through the "A fresh start for local government apprentices, trainees and cadets" program, we have an exciting opportunity available in our Parks and Gardens team.
As the Sports Turf Apprentice, you will work in a supportive environment to gain the skills and knowledge required for a nationally recognised qualification, while assisting with the maintenance, preparation, and repair of council parks, sports fields and irrigation systems.
This is a four-year apprenticeship.
YOUR APPRENTICESHIP
As Part Of Your Apprenticeship, You Will
complete a Certificate III in Sports Turf Managementbe paid while you learn from experienced mentorsget hands-on experience with real projectsbuild practical skills that employers valuecontribute to meaningful work in your local areaset yourself up for a successful future in local governmenthave access to e-learning platforms and ongoing training and support through Council's cultural development program
YOUR WORKING ENVIRONMENT
During Your Apprenticeship, You Will Have Access To
a commencing weekly salary up to $947.70, dependent upon age and experience (more information can be provided by the below contact)12% superannuationa 38 hour week, working a 9 day fortnight2 health and wellbeing leave days for your Christmas break3 weeks sick leave per year, cumulative where unusedsalary packaging options available including novated leasinggenerous reward and recognition programs and initiatives
