SURA Technology Risks has a new opportunity for a Cyber & Technology Underwriter in a hybrid capacity to join our busy team in Sydney or Brisbane to underwrite IT & Cyber risks, quote, and bind accounts within a delegated authority through negotiating & converting submissions from brokers for accounts.

Other responsibilities of the role include but are not limited to : Contribute to new business growth objectives by pursuing profitable new business growth opportunities and developing new broker relationships in the Tech & Cyber space.Contribute to new Product Development initiatives.Engage with London markets and develop a thorough understanding of the Lloyd's Coverholder model and the responsibility attaching to the Binding Authority Agreement.Be an active contributor to the success of the Company by embracing the responsibility attaching to a Senior Underwriting role within SURA Cyber thereby assisting in areas of development including markets, product, strategic planning, mentoring and policy and procedure.Ensure all service are provided in a fair and ethical manner and compliant with all relevant legislation, regulations, codes and Company policies and procedures.Ensure professional conduct is maintained at all times to positively promote SURA Technology Risks, SURA, the AUB Group and the insurance industry.We are looking for a well-presented strong communicator, both written and verbally who can effectively manage a busy workload and multitask with conflicting priorities. This role would suit someone who has a solid working knowledge of IT liability & Cyber in the insurance industry and wants to join a leading Australian underwriting agency!

Additionally, we are looking for someone with the below experience : Certificate IV in General Insurance or equivalent.Knowledge of the legal / legislative environment in which the insurance industry operates.Technical knowledge of IT liability & Cyber insurance products.Building relationships with brokersAny offer of employment is dependent upon the satisfactory completion of background checks by AUB Group or by an external third-party on our behalf.
