About The Role

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced administration officer to support our workers’ compensation team. Based in Kelvin Grove (with a hybrid work option), this role performs a critical function supporting our team to achieve success in the management of claims injury / rehabilitation case management. The role may also present opportunities for further exposure to injury management support and / or claims management for less complex cases across multiple jurisdictions

Key activities :

  • Provide accurate, timely and efficient support to the Senior Claims Advisers with the management of workers’ compensation claims.
  • May be required to manage an end-to-end claims portfolio from time to time, under the governance of specific guidelines and procedures.
  • Interpret relevant legislation and provide advice to claimants and other stakeholders regarding entitlement of workers’ compensation.
  • Assist Self Insurance with administrative duties required for successful claims management and rehabilitation programs.
  • Ensure the claims management data system is maintained in a timely and correct manner and assist in the reporting and analysis of data.
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective and efficient claims management and rehabilitation case management.
  • Provide document management support services including filing, shredding, document compilation and mail outs.
  • Undertake other duties and tasks as required.

  • Qualifications and Experience :

  • Effective time management and coordination skills.
  • Effective communicator, with demonstrated interpersonal skills and excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to build constructive and effective relationships to negotiate with and influence internal and external stakeholders.
  • Strong organisational and planning abilities with attention to detail.
  • Positive team player with a proactive attitude.
  • Experience in a self-insurance scheme would be highly regarded
  • Proven ability in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint).
