APS 5 - Audit Program Officer

The APS5 Audit Program Officer is accountable for undertaking audit and monitoring activities to ensure that registered providers are compliant with relevant NQSC / NDIS legislative requirements. The role works under limited guidance, to manage the Commission’s approval and monitoring of quality auditors, auditor training requirements and coordinate complex audit and monitoring / non-compliance activities.

Duties may include, but are not limited to, the following :

• coordinate and conduct complex audit and monitoring work using sound knowledge of legislative frameworks and policy requirements to guide auditor program activities and identifying provider non-compliance in registration and monitoring processes
• implement and maintain audit assurance and non-compliance related activities, assisting with the implementation of any system improvement initiatives, and conducting administrative duties to support audit and monitoring program functions
• interpret, coordinate and apply the reporting requirements for the audit and monitoring program
• assist in identifying, interpreting, and translating audit and monitoring issues into findings to contribute to policy and operational advice including the preparation of reports
• identify, manage and escalate (as appropriate) any risks and issues that impact delivery of the audit and monitoring program
• engage with relevant internal and external stakeholders to support the monitoring and audit program activities, providing auditors and providers with education and advice on program activities and auditor requirements
• provide support to the development, initiation, and delivery of projects within the audit and monitoring program.
