Our large NSW State Government client delivers insurance and care services to the community of NSW. Whether a person is severely injured in the workplace or on our roads, they support their long-term care needs to improve quality of life outcomes, including helping people return to work.

  • About the Role
  • They are currently seeking an experienced Capability Specialist to join their People & Culture team in Sydney CBD with some flexibility to work remotely from home. This is a Part time opportunity where you will be required to work 3 days per week between Monday to Friday. This is an estimated 6-month temporary assignment, potential to extend.

    Reporting to the People & Culture Lead, you will be responsible for the implementation and embedding of Professional Standard and Capability for the Nominal Insurer Improvement Program.

    In this role you will be responsible for however not limited to the following

  • Work closely with the People & Culture Lead to implement and embed a Capability Strategy for NSW workers compensation that meets the professional standards framework
  • Partner and engage with key stakeholders to ensure deliverables are achieved
  • Liaise with HR Business Partners, Claims Managers and Team Leaders to assess potential impact of workers compensation capability strategy
  • Undertake comprehensive job role review of existing claims job roles to ensure they reflect the Professional Standards Framework
  • Assist in the build out of job family / role development resources including intranet hub of Professional Standards Framework capability development, career pathways, development guides, roadmaps and assessment tools
  • Contribute to aligning the Capability Strategy to the organisations Performance Cycle Strategy
  • Work collaboratively with the change team to facilitate the necessary culture and change process
  • Consult and provide advice on a range of transition and transformation processes
  • Track, manage and report rigorously to ensure compliance is adhered too
  • About You
  • To secure this great assignment you will have the following

  • Proven Capability or People & Culture Specialist experience
  • Demonstrated experience implementing Professional Standards Framework into Capability
  • Previous experience reviewing job roles and updating capability
  • Workers Compensation, Insurance or Public Sector experience highly desirable
  • Impeccable communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Solid analytical, negotiation and problem-solving skills
  • Strong computer literacy and proficiency with MS Office suite
  • Superior organisational skills with the ability to multi-task and prioritise conflicting deadlines
  • Willingness to undergo a National Police Check
  • Flexibility to work part time 3 days per week between Monday to Friday
  • Fully COVID vaccinated or medically exempt
  • Ability to commence and commit to the duration of the assignment
