  • About the Role
  • Full time - Ongoing
  • The Commercial Advisor - Asset Assurance sits within Rail Services and is responsible for supporting the management of the Metro Rolling Stock by providing both technical and operational support to the oversite of the train fleet. The role will monitor fleet performance and rollingstock maintenance requirements with a specific focus on reliability growth running and Technical Maintenance compliance. The role will also undertake assurance activities including reporting on asset condition, repairs, vandalism, and graffiti and presentation standards.

  • Position Outcomes
  • Undertakes assurance activities to ensure that the contractor and operator are meeting their contract obligations and has provided regular reporting to this effect. This will been achieved by providing technical advice and knowledge to support the resolution of any potential discrepancies and disputes
  • Monitors configuration changes, repairs, modifications, retrofit activities and tracked against program and overarching scheduled maintenance exam cycles
  • Participates in daily and monthly performance meetings and established strong working relationships with the operator and contractor to ensure that performance based outcomes of the contract are achieved
  • Supports the Senior Commercial Advisor - Train Franchise and Commercial Manager - Asset Management in the preparation and presentation of high-quality technical analyses and advice on contractual obligations, emerging issues and reporting on contractual matters as they arise
  • Develops high quality performance management and reporting standards to ensure that the services conform to specified requirements and that reporting addresses business needs

  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE

  • Qualification in Auditing
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role
  • Desirable
  • Tertiary degree in Engineering, Business or Diploma in Quality Assurance or similar
