  • ABOUT THE ROLE
  • Exciting opportunity for an Allied Health Educator (Social Work / Occupational Therapist) to join Mercy Mental Health and Wellbeing Service - Learning and Development team. Work with an innovative team, with a positive team culture to enhance the professional development of the workforce.
  • Permanent 0.8EFT
  • Located at Saltwater Clinic, and working across MMH sites
  • Be part of a multi-disciplinary team to support the professional development of the Mercy Mental Health workforce
  • Support a high quality clinical placement program for undergraduate Allied Health students
  • ABOUT YOU :
  • You are an experienced mental health Allied Health Professional - Social Worker or Occupational Therapist
  • You have a passion for education and are motivated to mentor, support and guide a high standard of practice
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessment desirable, or willingness to work towards this qualification
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
  • An understanding of different learning and teaching styles

  • Mercy Mental Health (South West Area Mental Health Service) is a public mental health service supporting people in south west metropolitan Melbourne with severe and complex mental illnesses by providing acute and community-based care. Services are available to adults through acute inpatient programs, residential rehabilitation programs and crisis and community recovery-focused treatment programs. We also deliver inpatient and community specialist perinatal mental health services to women and infants in western Victoria.
