The role

We are seeking skilled and enthusiastic HD Fitters and Auto Electricians to join our Field Service team , supporting key mining operations across Western Australia.

As a Field Service Technician , you’ll play a vital role in providing on-site maintenance, diagnostics, and repair of Sandvik’s Underground Loaders, Trucks, and Drills .

Join a diverse and hands-on role where you’ll tackle mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, vehicle control systems, and cutting-edge automation systems in underground environments.

This role offers a fly-in-fly-out arrangement from Perth on an 8 : 6 Roster, with travel to different customer sites across WA.

Your Profile :

  • Trade-qualified HD Fitter or Auto Electrician
  • Experience with underground drill rigs, loaders, or trucks
  • Strong safety mindset and commitment to safe work practices
  • Proactive, self-motivated, and able to work independently
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Basic computer literacy and ability to complete service documentation
  • Manual Driver’s Licence (essential)
  • Able to pass pre-employment medical, police, reference checks, and regular drug & alcohol testing
  • Hands-on experience with Sandvik underground loaders and trucks, including :
  • Loaders (LH series) : LH203, LH307, LH410, LH514, LH517i, LH621i
  • Trucks (TH series) : TH320, TH430, TH551i, TH663i
  • Familiarity with Sandvik underground drills, such as :
  • Longhole or specialty drills : DS311, DS512i (bolters)
  • Exposure to Sandvik AutoMine and OptiMine systems
  • Willingness to travel interstate or internationally for training and development opportunities
