Our federal government client is seeking dedicated APS6 Policy & Legislation Officers to contribute to its business case development.

Key Responsibilities

Undertake research, analysis and provide advice on business requirements, policy, and legislation.

Consideration of policy implications for the project, including consideration of relevant existing VET sector infrastructure and the education and training environment.

Assist in the development of a range of policy documents, including consultation papers, facts sheets, meeting papers, briefs and talking points.

Liaise with internal and external stakeholders and represent the work area in relation to policy and legislative development.

Ideally, you will have

Experience developing and maintaining internal and external relationships.

Highly developed written and verbal communication skills.

Sound judgement, analytical and strategic thinking skills.

Ability to work in a fast paced and dynamic environment.

Highly Desirable :

Tertiary qualifications in a field relevant to public policy and / or law would be desirable but not essential.
