Greater Sydney is focused on delivering a united transport network and services, to ensure the Greater Sydney Region meets the expectations of their customers and communities.
As an Inspector (Civil) within the Developer Works Teams (West-Central or East)of the Greater Sydney Division, your role is responsible to manage routine and specialist surveillance activities and assist in complex surveillance activities on third party works.
The role is also responsible for delegated WAD (Works Authorisation Deed) administration and surveillance on third party works for new construction, re-construction and upgrades of roads, bridges and other road infrastructures in Greater Sydney.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills are essential. This role has numerous stakeholders including developers, the public, councils, contractors, consultants, internals design teams and SMEs, so it is crucial that you can engage with a diverse audience and deal with people at all levels - building rapport and developing strong relations across internal and external sources and, leverage these relationships to seek the appropriate advice and information required to inform your decisions, as well as influence and negotiate outcomes and overcome challenges.
The role sits in one of the two busy teams that manage a combined 800+ projects from minor driveways upgrades that connect to state roads, to $100M+ road infrastructure projects so you will need be able to plan and prioritise your workload and be an organised and customer focused person who can demonstrate excellent flexibility, time management and prioritisation skills - and enjoy delivering exceptional customer experiences in a diverse and constantly changing environment.
The home location for this role is our Yennora office, however there is the option to work from other sites in the Greater Sydney You must be prepared to travel to project sites throughout the region and be willing to work outside regular hours on occasions.
