The Company

A great opportunity exists for an experienced and qualified Fitter and Turner with experience in setting and operating CNC Milling and Lathe machines. The Company has the capabilities to design, manufacture and commission complete project solutions and service a wide range of industries.

The role

As an experienced CNC Machinist and reporting to the Production Supervisor, you will become an essential part of the team responsible for all machining needs and using your skills to come up with solutions and Ideas when required.

  • Trade qualified Fitter & Turner with a minimum 3 years experience operating CNC machinery
  • Perform CNC Milling and Lathe operations,
  • Previous experience with small and Large 5 axis machining
  • Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to determine method and sequence of operations and machine settings required
  • Perform operational functions with Fanuc & Siemens controllers
  • Previous experience with CAD and CAM
  • Good mechanical aptitude and assembly skills
  • Previous experience working in a workshop environment
  • Previous experience using precision measuring equipment
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines, manage work loads and be part of a team environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

    Day shift :  Mon - Thurs 6.00am - 2.30pm / Fri 6.00am - 12.00pm, up to $45 per hour plus Super
