The opportunity :
We’re seeking skilled Process Workers to join our O’Connor Board Plant. These are permanent full-time roles, working Monday to Friday on our day or Afternoon shifts.
Day Shift : Monday – Friday 5am – 1.30pm, with overtime generally until 3.30pmAfternoon Shift : Monday – Friday 3.30pm – 11.30pm, with overtime generally until 1.30amDaily overtime applies after the first 8 hours and must be available for 1 weekend per month minimum, with Saturday or Sunday available at penalty ratesKey Responsibilities
Operate machinery to meet production, service, and quality standards for the manufacture of cardboard packaging.Feeding product into the converting machines and arranging product at the machine discharge points.Stacking products onto palettes for further processing ensuring all board stacked are neat and stable.Assist in machine setup, dismantling and job changes tasks for a production run.Perform quality inspection checks and other procedural checks to ensure the best quality is delivered to our customersMaintain safe work and operating practices, and a high level of housekeeping at all times.What you’ll bring to the team :
As our new Sorter, you will be a team player with a strong work ethic. You will be committed to working safely and engaging with all safety processes and procedures, along with the following :
Previous operation experience in a manufacturing or Board environment.Proven ability to work in a physically demanding and fast paced environment.The ability to work under pressure and display a good eye for detail particularly in quality control.Continuous improvement mindset and willingness to learn.Forklift licence is a bonus.What You’ll Love About Visy
