The Manager Strategic Infrastructure & Assets is a key rolein SAPOL’s Physical Assets Services Branch for strategicplanning, development, management and effective performance ofSAPOL’s statewide asset portfolio and forward infrastructurestrategy.

The role is responsible for providing effective leadership to ahigh performing team, developing strategic solutions to keyinfrastructure and asset challenges including portfolio planning,sustainability initiatives, replacement infrastructure / divestmentactivities, and developing strategic business cases and masterplanning of sites that align with operational requirements andagency initiatives. The role ensures effective management ofSAPOL’s built asset portfolio of leased and owned commercialpolicing facilities and regional employee housing portfolio in linewith government policy and legislation with a value for moneyperspective and ensures robust portfolio asset data sets. Theposition requires a high level of initiative, managementcapability, sound judgment, relationship management, ability towork in alignment with strong governance models, Infrastructure SAand DIT requirements, and SAPOL’s Services to achievestrategic objectives.

Key outputs include to develop SAPOL’s 20-year StrategicInfrastructure Plan, to develop and implement the Strategic AssetManagement Framework / Plan for SAPOL, lead master planningactivities and business cases for investment funding that alignwith SAPOL strategies, corporate frameworks, government policy andlegislative requirements. The role is key point of contactfor Agency asset sustainability and environmental measures acrossSAPOL.

PASB is comprised of seven units : Capital Projects Unit,Strategic Infrastructure & Assets Unit, Major Projects Unit,Contracts, Impound and Armoury Unit, Strategic Operations Section : Fleet & Stores, Facilities Management Unit and BusinessUnit.

Special Conditions

  • The incumbent must hold a current Australian workeligibility status and will be subject to a criminal historycheck.
  • The incumbent may be assigned to other duties at thisremuneration level or equivalent.
  • Some out of hours work and intra / interstate travel may berequired.
  • The incumbent is required to participate in SAPOL’siEngage program.

Salary ASO8 - $121,107 -$125,679 per annum.
