- outlet which operates throughout the winter season, The Alzburg Resort is currently seeking a motivated individual with strong Operations and Administration skills to assist within all departments and the General Manager.
We are seeking an experienced
- Front Office or Resort Duty Manager / 2IC - with free onsite accommodation provided
- to oversee the day-to-day operation while anticipating and exceeding our guest's desires at all times.
- Job tasks and responsibilities
- About the role : Duty Manager
As for this role, you will be a critical part of the venue operations teams and be responsible for the following
- You will be responsible for effectively overseeing the performance of the hotel, in the absence of an executive team
- Shared After Hours phone assistance
- Manage and Lead shift crew's, resort operations from the setup, running, and pack down of the venue
- Processing guest checking in and out, financial transactions, and handling customer queries
- Front office experience using the front office operating system
- Aptitude for Hotel management software and adoption of technology
- Able to work on a rotating roster shift including night / weekends / public holidays
- Leading by example with customer service excellence.
- To predict, plan and resolve any mishaps in preventing our guests from having anything less than an exceptional stay.
- To monitor security, optimize the profitability of operations, and ensure your team's health & safety
- Responsible for handling, quoting, and planning any Group / Function booking.
- Skills and experience
- About you : Assistant Manager / Duty Manager
- Minimum 2+ years of Front Office Management experience using reservation operation systems
- You will have excellent time-management and organizational skills with the ability to multi-task under pressure
- Excellent communication skills
- Proven ability in managing and leading teams
- Ability to manage a fast-paced venue that has multiple departments
- Enjoy being hands-on as well as efficient when it comes to reporting and paperwork
- We need somebody who thrives on responsibility but at the same time brings their ideas to the table.
- Must have current RSA certificate
