Strategic Communications Specialist 12 Month Contract

• Some of your key responsibilities will include
• Distil complexity : Turn research and technical program data into clear, compelling content for diverse audiences.
• Lead content creation : Write and edit high-quality communications across formats - from press releases and speeches to op-eds, reports, blogs, and social content.
• Elevate thought leadership : Develop talking points and materials that amplify the voices of Movember's executive leaders and spokespeople.
• Drive stakeholder engagement : Ensure external communications reflect Movember's mission and brand across media, partnerships, health, and government sectors.
• Collaborate across teams : Manage the external communications pipeline alongside the broader Marketing and Communications team.
• Track impact : Support campaign performance tracking, evaluation, and reporting to inform future strategies.
• For this role, you'll need
• Relevant qualifications in communications, journalism, public health, or a related field.
• Experience in external communications, including speechwriting, op-eds, messaging documents, and stakeholder content.
• Demonstrated ability to translate complex or technical topics into clear, engaging content.
• Strong planning, coordination, and time management skills.
• Experience navigating stakeholder reviews and feedback across a matrixed organisation.
• A proactive, collaborative mindset and commitment to Movember's mission.
• Familiarity with gender equality and / or public health issues is nice to have, but not essential
