Assistant Underwriter

• Duties include but are not limited to
• Provide support to Senior Underwriters
• Maintain and build strong Broker relationships
• Assist with the development, underwriting and administration of all products
• Assist with claims admin to in relation to these products
• Assist with New Business, Endorsement and Renewal quotes
• Adhere to underwriting guidelines, delegated authority and binder limits
• Produce and issue Single Project Adjustment and Extension quotes
• Assist finance with incorrect or non payment
• Deal with offshore team - re-rating, special conditions, etc
• Perform various other duties as required
• Solid experience working within Insurance - ideally with 1-2 years Underwriting experience (construction or property / property liability ideal)
• Excellent communication skills - you will be dealing with both your internal team and also Brokers!
• Strong time management skills and can-do attitude
• Self-motivated team player
