• The Opportunity

Are you an experienced senior designer / design manager who is passionate about inspiring customers through visually compelling marketing content? Have you developed and launched new brands, from concept to execution? Do you obsess over how color, typography, illustration, layout, and design direction can work together to create branded experiences that engage and motivate customers to achieve project and departmental goals? Are you seeking a fast-paced environment and a nimble team where you can contribute to an overarching creative strategy? If this sounds like you, then you might be the right fit for our Senior Designer / Design Manager role.

This is a highly cross-functional role that requires close partnership across teams, including channel managers, copywriters, buying team and product managers, to define and build the Pet Circle brand across customer-facing touchpoints. The right applicant should be able to use their design chops to positively impact the customer experience (whether that's with graphic design, branding, motion graphics, Ui / UW or all of the above).

• Your Responsibilities
• Work from creative briefs to translate marketing strategies to creative execution
• Produce graphic standards, templates, layouts, guidelines and design graphics
• Be responsible for the design resourcing, planning & budget
• Scope design initiatives and assign workload. Proactively manage own and others' time as necessary. Ensure the team's output is of the highest standard
• Lead designers in the completion of projects as necessary, providing clear direction and constructive feedback
• Be a mentor, motivate the team members and help them grow their careers
• Liaise with agencies that support with graphic design & localisation
• Use data and insights in order to inform design decisions.
• About you
• 6+ years of experience in a multi-channel senior design role at a creative agency or in-house at an retailer, and / or consumer brand
• Proven success in both in a team environment as well as an individual contributor
• Experience developing and managing brand standards and style guidelines across complex organizations
• A strong portfolio with a wonderful eye for graphic design, a deep skill in typography and page design, showcasing a deep knowledge of UI, typography, image and related design standards for web, print and mass media
• Knowledge of digital content production, including familiarity with post-production retouching and editing
• Fluency with contemporary social media platforms, technologies, and trends, including experience with motion design for web and social
• A love of working at pace, while managing complex planning schedules
• In-depth understanding of how to design for different channels, different customers and different objectives

This role will be based in Sydney with a blended working arrangement of 2 days in our CBD office and the remaining working from home
