About the opportunity

As the Manager - Industry Engagement at PSO, you will play a crucial role in leading engagement efforts across the Energy, Gas, and Renewables sectors. Your leadership in the industry will be instrumental in cultivating productive industry relationships and fostering a cohesive vision that aligns with the dynamic needs of the sector during times of unprecedented and radical change. This role will offer virtual / work from home arrangements with travel throughout Australia required at times.

Key responsibilities include

Advising and engaging with industry to gain insights on workforce gaps, new skill requirements and industry talent pipelines;

Explore and execute collaboration opportunities with other Jobs and Skills Councils to identify innovative approaches to workforce development;

Build on existing relationships and establish new relationships with a range of key stakeholders as a trusted expert of PSO.

Selection Criteria

This role will see you engaging with a wide range of stakeholders and industry experts to connect the dots and add value to deliver to PSO's vision and purpose. Key criteria required to be successful in this role include :

A minimum of 3 years' experience within the energy, electrical, gas or renewables sector is essential;

Previous experience in a position that provided consistent networking and engagement of key stakeholders resulting in actionable outcomes;

An inherent ability to effectively assess the needs of others via active listening and an authentic approach;

Excellent communication skills with the ability to demonstrate viewpoints or approaches through effective storytelling;

Knowledge of jobs and skills training packages and the topics driving transformation;

Experience creating synergistic collaborations and relationships.
