Destec is a diversified mining contractor with a fast-growing client base, providing ore crushing, screening, and materials handling services to the mining industry.

We pride ourselves on innovation through designing, constructing, building, maintaining, and operating our own crushing and screening plants for Tier 1 mining sites. Additionally, we offer ore processing and materials handling services across Western Australia.

About the role

Due to increased work, we are currently seeking experienced Boilermakers / Welders to join our workshop team based in Canning Vale. There may also be opportunities to assist with FIFO shutdowns at mining sites, with site coverage paid at 12 hours per day.

Hours : Monday to Friday (10 hours), Saturday (6 hours) – 56 hours per week

Rates : Full Time + Leave Entitlements

Ordinary Time : $43.00 Time & Half : $64.50 Double Time : $86.00 To be successful in this role, you will have :

An appropriate Australian recognised trade certificate Ability to pass weld tests in 2F MMAW, 3G MMAW, 2F FCAW, 3G FCAW Experience and knowledge of fixed plant components such as crushers, screens, conveyors, pumps, and chutes (highly desirable) WA Driver's Licence Ability to interpret drawings and instructions An analytical and methodical approach to problem-solving and the ability to work in a team environment Ability to pass pre-employment medical and drug and alcohol screens Ability to provide a national police clearance Preferred, but not essential :

First Aid or Senior First Aid Certificate Working at Heights Confined Space Entry Elevated Work Platform competency Dogging & Rigging competency What we offer :
