- join our organisation, to enhance research outcomes and provide exceptional support to our staff and students. This will be an on-site, part-time permanent role (22.8 hours per week) based at our Sydney campus in The Rocks, and ideally spread over 4 days per week.
- About the Role
As an integral part of the Student Experience and Success team, you will contribute to the seamless operation of our campus-based library facility, fostering an environment that promotes learning, creativity and discovery. This is your chance to bring your expertise and enthusiasm to support our staff and students in achieving outstanding research outcomes. Additionally, you will champion the organisation and maintenance of our library resources for the on-campus library facility, while delivering excellent customer service to staff and students.
Your Key ResponsibilitiesFollow appropriate procedures and systems to record loans, returns, reservations and financial transactionsUnder the leadership of Academic leaders, ensure that resource provision meets and supports curriculum, scholarship and research needsAssist students to search and borrow library materials and resourcesMaintain online subscriptions, manage the Library Information System, and resolve IT access queriesReport on library activity and proposed resourcing for submission to relevant CommitteesFacilitate library orientation sessions, library workshops and individual consultations on topics including referencing, academic writing, sourcing journal articles and searching the library catalogueAssist in the formulation of policy, procedures and adviceYour Knowledge and ExperienceBachelor's degree in Library Science or equivalentMinimum 3 years' experience working in a libraryExcellent IT skills and knowledge of library databasesExceptional interpersonal and organisational skillsA genuine interest in researchAbout UsAIM is a place where music comes first and the only private tertiary college in Australia, solely focused on music.
