The Position

Join a supportive and vibrant Paediatric team ! This role offers exceptional teaching and hands-on experience in :

  • General Paediatrics
  • Neonatology (including ventilation)
  • Outpatients and Community Paediatrics
  • Child Protection and Aboriginal Health

The hospital has a busy outpatient department with a diabetic clinic and outreach services to regional towns, including Aboriginal communities, with plans to expand. Work closely with Senior Medical Staff to deliver high-quality care while advancing your skills across diverse and fascinating cases. Remuneration :

Total remuneration value of up to $172,382 p.a. is comprised of :

  • An hourly rate between $129,583 - $142,727 p.a. (L4 – L7)
  • An hourly rate between $129,583 - $150,240 p.a. (L4 – L9)
  • 12.75% employer superannuation contribution
  • 17.5% leave loading

    This hospital is in a wonderful location on the Queensland coast, with beautiful beaches and a great lifestyle. This large regional city boasts an array of public and private schools for all ages and is bursting with great cultural opportunities from galleries to dance studios. Near national parks and sprawling landscapes, the area is well known for its scenic spots to dine with a view.

    The Facility

    This is a major regional hospital with 300+ beds and state of the art facilities. The hospital has undergone recent expansions and developments so you will be working with access to superior treatment and case management services. This is a Level 2 RACP accredited teaching hospital, so you will have a great opportunity to learn and work with experienced physicians.

    The Requirements

  • Current AHPRA general registration and a minimum of two years practice within the Australian healthcare system is preferred.
  • MBBS or equivalent to enable registration as a Medical Practitioner with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) at Level 3 supervision.
  • CA Pathway doctors encouraged to apply.
  • SIMG's with Partially Comparable outcome encouraged to apply.
