- About the Role_
The Marketing & Communications Manager is responsible for effectively promoting Mamre in the community, through marketing, engagement, and fundraising activities to achieve our strategic objectives.
The position is responsible for marketing, public relations, community engagement, fundraising, events, volunteer management and corporate sponsorship initiatives. This position will be responsible for creating and maintaining an exceptional working relationship with all team members, supported people and their families and community stakeholders.
- KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Your main duties and responsibilities will include
- Marketing and Communications & Fundraising _
- Provide leadership, management and direction to the Marketing & Communications team
- Participation, direction, and support in relation to all aspects of Mamre's PR, Sales, Marketing, Communications and Fundraising initiatives
- Develop and execute strategic marketing plans that promote our brand and aim to meet our growth initiatives
- Develop and implement your detailed operational plan, for your areas of accountability
- Execute campaigns across multiple channels, including digital, social media, print, direct mail, and other related mediums
- Manage and approve content creation, production and delivery of all Mamre communications and publications ensuring it is on brand
- Management of the website
- Develop presentations to be used for a broad range of purposes including presentations to the board and key stakeholders
- Manage and grow external relationships
- Develop, implement and deliver fundraising strategies including appeals, gifts in kind, bequests, workplace giving and sponsorship.
- Provide timely and strategic communications advice and assistance to the Governance Board, CEO and managers, that protects Mamre's reputation and brand, and identify and manage crisis communications
- Collaborate extensively with all the departments of the organisation, to ensure clear and accurate communications and consistent alignment of messaging
- Develop and share the Marketing, Communications and Community annual calendar with managers and staff
- Provide timely reporting including the consolidation of Key business performance indicators and KPI progress
- Community _
- Develop and deliver the Community Strategy & Community Plan, including Acts of Kindness and overseeing Volunteering & Community Events and other engagement activities including a fundraising plan to support these activities into the future
- KEY CAPABILITIES REQUIRED
- Essential _
- 5 years+ marketing experience progressively showcasing more responsibility in a marketing role
- Experience leading a Marketing & Communications team is highly desirable
- Demonstrable success and experience in designing and executing marketing campaigns across digital and off-line channels, with strong skills in social media, eDM, content management and copywriting
- Experience working successfully as part of team with an ability to establish relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Exceptional attention to detail, structured, organised, and proactive
- Excellent ability to manage projects and deadlines
- Experience using a CRM is highly desirable
- Excellent presentation skills with high standards of written and verbal English communication
- Ability to liaise effectively with a range of people, including VIPs and community organisations
- Desired Skills _
- Knowledge of and experience of working in the community sector
- Experience in assisting with conference and meeting organisation and support
- Familiarity with and understanding of the needs of people with disabilities
- QUALIFICATIONS / LICENCES / CERTIFICATIONS
- Tertiary qualifications in Communication and Marketing
- Current Blue Card and Yellow Card / NDIS Worker Screening Card or willingness to obtain
