The People and Culture Advisor will play a critical role in establishing and embedding foundational HR practices during the operational development phase of the Victorian Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing. Operating in a dynamic, fast-paced environment, the Advisor will provide comprehensive support across the full spectrum of HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance development, policy and compliance, organisational design, and workforce planning.
Reporting to the Finance Manager and working closely with senior leadership and the Senior Executive Coordinator, the People and Culture Advisor will collaborate with colleagues, contractors, and both internal and external stakeholders, including teams across the Department of Health. They will play a key role in bridging the Centre's operational needs with departmental processes and systems, ensuring alignment, efficiency, and a coordinated approach to people and culture initiatives.
The Collaborative Centre for Mental Health and Wellbeing is a Victorian public entity led by a unique Co-CEO partnership and governed by an independent skills-based Board who report to the Minister for Mental Health.
A strong HR generalist background and sound knowledge of contemporary HR practices, you will work across the organisation to design and implement structured, efficient, and scalable people processes that meet both current and future workforce needs. You will draw on your own experience to lead the creation and improvement of HR systems, frameworks, and documentation, ensuring processes are practical, compliant, and aligned with public sector values, industrial obligations, and legal requirements.
