Job Title : Field Technician - Telecommunications

We are seeking an experienced Field Technician to support the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of advanced telecommunications infrastructure, with a focus on microwave link systems . If you thrive in the field, enjoy working autonomously or in a small team, and are open to short-notice travel to remote areas, this role is for you.

Responsibilities

Install and maintain microwave links (e.g., Nokia, Ceragon, Siklu, Aviat).
Climb towers and structures for installation and servicing of wireless systems.
Troubleshoot, test, and commission telecommunications and power systems.
Conduct site surveys and prepare technical reports.
Collaborate with customers to ensure safe and efficient project delivery.

Qualifications

Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in telecom installation and servicing.

Strong diagnostics and commissioning skills in the field.

Ability to work independently and as part of a close team.

Flexibility to travel up to 2 weeks at short notice.

Current Australian Driver’s Licence (mandatory).

Knowledge of microwave systems and Working at Heights certification.

Medical clearance to climb (or willingness to obtain).

Desirable Skills

Experience with specific microwave systems (e.g., Nokia, Ceragon).

Current security license.

Ability to work on impactful projects in a supportive team environment.

Enjoy variety, autonomy, and solving real-world technical challenges.
