Family Violence Case Support Worker

Your new role

As a Family Violence Case Support Worker, you undertake a range of tasks that directly support the Case Management team(s) and the organisation in delivering high-quality, client centered support to adult and child victim-survivors of family violence. This includes maintaining accurate client records, coordinating referrals, managing correspondence, and assisting with data and reporting.

You will play a critical role in ensuring the efficiency and effectiveness of service delivery by streamlining administrative processes, helping to build a comprehensive picture of client circumstances, and enabling Case Managers to focus on direct client support.

About you

To be successful in your application you will meet the person specification in the position description, including having a A degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related tertiary qualification relevant to child and family welfare and a current Australian Divers Licence.

You will also have :

• Knowledge and experience of the issues facing children, youth and their families, and the provision of intervention and support to assist
• Experience in working with vulnerable children, young people and families, and the ability to work flexibly to meet their needs
• Experience in working with those impacted by family violence, substance abuse, physical and mental health issues is highly desirable
• Demonstrated experience and knowledge in undertaking risk assessments of children, young people and families, and planning interventions that address risk and promote self determination
• Understanding of the legislative requirements of the Children, Youth and Family Act 2005 as they effect family services particularly the “Best Interests” framework, the information sharing
