  • This role sits within the Business Taxes team within Revenue NSW
  • As NSW's principal revenue agency, Revenue NSW administers state taxation and revenue for and on behalf of the people of NSW. The Payroll Tax Operations branch is responsible for maximising voluntary compliance for taxes and grants and assisting customers in meeting their obligations.

    • Your day-to-day
    • Assess complex matters and provide professional legislative and procedural advice to clients
    • Coach and develop staff, and undertake quality assurance reviews within the team to identify training needs and ensure accuracy
    • Maintain comprehensive and up to date knowledge of legislation, policies, procedures and business rules to provide quality advice to customers
    • Contribute to the implementation of change through continuous improvement and innovation
    • To be successful in this role you will demonstrate
    • Interpersonal skills necessary to provide a high level of effective customer service, including outstanding written and verbal communication skills
    • The ability to motivate, coach and supervise staff, as well as provide constructive feedback to ensure work quality standards and key performance indicators are met
    • Strong analytical skills to support team members handling more complex matters
    • A proactive and positive attitude with a focus on achieving business outcomes
