Job description

As an Activity & Engagement Coordinator , you will collaborate with regions to achieve demonstrable participant progression by providing safe and engaging activities that enhance employability. Your role is to create opportunities for participants to progress towards employment while facilitating access for Employment Consultants to tailored support services.

Location : The role can be based in Marrickville or any APM Office within Sydney East Metro.

What you will be doing as an Activity & Engagement Coordinator :

  • Be the trusted subject matter expert in local activities across the region, working closely with our business leaders.
  • Develop activities and projects as part of Workforce Australia.
  • Ensure APM has a variety of adequate activities available to our jobseekers.
  • Establish a pipeline of employment-ready jobseekers by sourcing effective education and training options.
  • Build strong community partnerships to support non-vocational barriers.
  • Maintain compliance with the Deed and Guidelines across the business.
  • Support Business Managers and Employment Consultants with activity engagement.
  • Deliver high standards of engagement and customer service for all stakeholders.

To be considered, you will have :

  • Ability to work collaboratively in an approachable and empowering environment.
  • Strong skills in developing and maintaining stakeholder and community relationships.
  • Experience in achieving and meeting KPIs.
  • Understanding of workplace health and safety policies and systems.
  • Excellent knowledge of the local labour market.
  • Initiative, hands-on ability, and strong administrative skills.
  • Project leadership capabilities.
  • Availability to work full-time, Monday to Friday, 8 : 30 am – 5 : 00 pm.
