Salary : $97,027 to $107,059 per annum (Clerk Grade 5 / 6)

Your Role

As a Registrar you’ll lead a team at a Local Court, making sure the court runs smoothly and professionally. You’ll support the Judiciary and court operations, manage staff, and help deliver excellent service to the public and other stakeholders.

You’ll also build a supportive and co-operative team environment, and address performance issues when needed.

What You’ll Do

In this role, you will :

  • Manage, develop, and motivate staff in a fast paced and challenging court environment.
  • Implement procedures and training to ensure staff are adequately equipped to ensure best practices and standards are provided to clients.
  • Manage staff performance and provide feedback.
  • Work across different court jurisdictions.
  • Promote a respectful and ethical workplace.
  • Carry out some quasi-judicial or other statutory functions and conduct call-overs.
  • The role of Registrar at Picton requires responsibility for the operations of Picton Local Court. This includes management of all aspects of registry and court operations at the location including line management responsibility for court services staff based at and working at the Picton registry. The role will also undertake Registrar duties at Moss Vale court as and when required.

What We’re Looking For

  • Circuit and relieving staff are required to possess a current Drivers Licence and be willing to travel, including overnight stays.
  • Capacity to work in an environment that may involve potential exposure to psychosocial hazards related to the range of services provided in a court environment.
