Our Canberra WRES team advises on all aspects of workplace relations.
The matters you will be working on are varied and interesting from general employment law, industrial relations strategy and disputes; advising on the employment aspects of corporate transactions, compliance and regulatory matters, discrimination, work, health and safety, whistleblowing, modern slavery, and disputation and litigation across most Courts and Tribunals.We consider ourselves passionate, innovative, creative, practical, and down to earth.

Our clients' businesses are our business, and we want our team to be curious, analytical to challenge the norm and to look for solutions not just give advice.Skills & Experience : To be successful in this role, you will have : Proven experience as a Lawyer (3+yrs PQE) working on a range of employment and industrial relations matters.
Safety experience is desirableAbility to draft clear, concise, correct and commercial advice and documentsA strong sense of purpose, ambition and a proactive approach to your workStrong people skills; the ability to communicate and build a rapport with our clientsEffective written and verbal communication skills and an ability to communicate with impact to both internal contacts and external clientsAn appetite, and demonstrated ability to mentor and coach more junior team membersA high degree of initiative, dedication and organisational ability with a strong client and commercial focusA proactive attitude towards personal development to expand your skills and knowledge to meet client needsIn addition to this, we're looking for a driven, self-starter; someone who is able to work autonomously and is focused on attention to detail and providing an outstanding service to their clients.Litigation experience and experience advising public sector (as well as private sector) clients is desirable but not essentialThe WRES teamWith some of Australia's leading workplace lawyers and are the go-to team for large organisations with challenging workplace needs.
