We're looking for a passionate and experiencedSenior HR Officer- known internally as Senior People Officerto join our People Services team and help shape the future of our organisation.

As a Senior HR Officer, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality people services and first-line advisory services across ART. You'll be a trusted partner and a key collaborator within the People & Culture teams to support strategic people outcomes.

Day to day, you'll :

Be the go-to guide : Offer real-time advice to teammates on policies, tricky situations, or just how to navigate people processes with confidence.Uphold high quality standards : Performing accurate quality checks and offering supportive guidance where needed.Solve people puzzles : Tackle employee lifecycle challenges—whether it's onboarding, transitions, or exits—with empathy and efficiency.Keep systems sharp : Dive into the HRIS and document systems, spotting ways to make them more accurate and smarter.Evolve background screening processes : Ensure background checks are thorough and compliant and assist in the transformation of our background screening processes.Stay ahead of risk : Spot potential compliance issues before they become problems and work proactively to resolve or escalate them.Coach and empower : Assist in mentoring HR Officers, sharing your knowledge and building a culture of continuous learning and support.Lead the change : Champion process improvements that make life easier for everyone—boosting data quality, service speed, and overall impact.Stay flexible : Embrace new challenges and projects and contribute to the ongoing growth of the role!This role is a 12-month max-term / secondment opportunity.

About you It goes without saying you'll be a great communicator with top notch interpersonal skills. We'll also expect you to pick up problems and come up with quick, creative ways to solve them. It's quite likely you tick some of the following boxes too :

Extensive experience in a HR operations / services or advisory role, with demonstrated ability to manage complex and high-volume work.Strong understanding of HRIS, payroll, and recruitment systems, with the ability to generate and interpret reports.Proven ability to coach and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisationDemonstrated experience in interpreting and applying enterprise agreements, policies, and employment legislation.Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a continuous improvement mindset.High level of discretion and experience handling confidential information.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships across the business.Ability to manage competing priorities and deliver outcomes in a fast-paced environment.About us Our 2.4 million members trust us to take care of over $330 billion in retirement savings.
