Workshop Mechanical Fitter - Full Time Permanent

Our client is a global leader in engineering and technology solutions who is active in multiple sectors including infrastructure, power generation, oil & gas, wastewater, metals, mining and transportation. We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Fitter to join their team based in Newcastle for an immediate start in a full time, permanent position.

What's involved?

A variety of workshop based jobs based around rotating mechanical equipment, fans, ventilation and compression

General fitting, overhauls, modifications, fitting and measuring of bearings and shafts, testing

Use of overhead crane and forklift

What are we looking for?

Mechanical Trade Qualification

A great attitude and willingness to learn valued above everything else

A background in fixed plant rotating equipment is highly regarded

Dogging and Forklift Ticket Highly regarded but not essential

Genuine commitment to safety

Excellent work references that can support your application

What we can offer you :

Full time permanent position

48.58 / hour

Monday - Friday 6 AM - 2 : 30 PM + overtime and penalties available

Enough variety to work on different things every day

Fully paid dogging course if you aren't already qualified
