You will provide vital support to our Commercial Manager with contract formation, inbound and outbound commercial correspondence and leading discussions in monthly contractor meetings.

This role may require ability to FIFO / DIDO when required to our regional construction projects.Drawing on your commercial and legal acumen, you will build positive relationships across all levels to ensure thorough contracts management, with tasks including : Advising on contractual obligations, main contract administration and entitlement for cost and timeAdapting template subcontracts, supply agreements and hire agreements for compliance with project-specific main contractsReviewing, amending and negotiating departures from subcontractors, consultants and suppliers of plant, equipment, materials and labourResolving contentious subcontract negotiations, claims, and disputesDelivering and managing contract and subcontract administrationDeveloping and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders (ie project team, commercial team etc) but also maintaining relationships with the subcontractors and their commercial management etc.Manage the tasks of two contracts administratorsWho we're looking for : A background / qualifications in construction law and / or procurementThe ability to interpret and apply terms of contractStrong drafting skills and experience writing head contract and subcontract lettersDecision making, negotiation and influencing skillsExperience of managing subcontract packages, preferably for construction projectsUnderstanding of relevant legislationBenefitsWe believe our people do their best work when they feel supported — personally and professionally.
