Job Description : PURPOSE :

The Senior Test Analyst will be responsible for implementing test plans, test cases, processes, and standards.

They will be responsible for taking ownership of quality and ensure that testing is conducted in the most effective and efficient way.

It is essential to demonstrate an understanding of Waterfall & Hybrid test methodologies and a proven track record of producing high quality test material.

They will be responsible for the development, execution and reporting of test cases and scripts, using appropriate testing tools and techniques, ensuring conformance to agreed process standards and regulations while providing testing expertise in activities associated with the development and implementation of organisational information systems and software applications.

POSITION REQUIRED CAPABILITIES :

To be successful in this role, the ideal candidate will possess :

  • 5+ years experience in software testing and quality assurance
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • ISTQB Certified – Foundation Level
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to learn quickly
  • Methodical problem solving skills
  • Self-motivated, resilient and a collaborative team player with an attitude to get things done
  • Transport Solutions operations / business knowledge

    • It would be an advantage to have knowledge / experience with :

  • Business analysis
  • Software development
  • SQL, Javascript
  • CI / CD tools
  • Test automation tools including Selenium, UFT or TestComplete
  • Testing experience with workplace systems including Sapphire, BY(JDA) TMS, FoxTrax, SAP and various Microsoft enterprise solutions will be highly regarded

    • Experience :

  • Extensive experience delivering testing on complex enterprise projects, under aggressive timelines, and with multiple stakeholders
  • Expertise with Rail & Terminal products in the logistics space, in particular Aurizon
  • Strong experience with the execution of system test activities including automation and assisting the business and users to carry out UAT testing
  • Strong experience of delivering traceability matrix, test scenarios, test cases and defect lifecycle to find defects that make an impact
  • Strong experience and skills in the development of test cases / scripts and reports
  • Ability to lead and mentor others in testing techniques, methods and systems
  • Adept in defect management and a proven track record of producing high quality test material from a variety of requirement mediums
  • Experience in the Logistics industry and / or Transport(Railways)
