About Us
Meals on Wheels NSW is the State peak body representing local Meals on Wheels and / or food services around NSW and have been operating in this capacity since 1987. We provide information, advice, advocacy, practical tools and resources as well as networking opportunities for like-minded service organisations and professionals.
With a small but passionate team, we punch well above our weight to drive change and deliver impact. We're now seeking a creative, driven and strategic Marketing and Fundraising Manager to lead our efforts in growing our brand, deepening supporter engagement, and increasing income to support our mission.
About the Role
This is a unique opportunity for a marketing and fundraising professional who's as comfortable rolling up their sleeves as they are thinking big picture. Reporting to the CEO, you'll lead the development and execution of integrated marketing, communications, and fundraising strategies to grow our reach and revenue.
You'll manage two direct reports and work collaboratively across the organisation to bring our mission to life — all while working within a lean budget that demands creativity, resourcefulness, and a hands-on approach.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement strategic marketing, communications, and fundraising plans aligned with organisational goals.Manage and mentor two direct reports to deliver high-quality campaigns and content.Lead the development of compelling campaigns across digital, social, email, print, and media to drive awareness and support.Plan and execute fundraising initiatives including appeals, regular giving, and donor stewardship.Collaborate with internal teams and stakeholders to amplify advocacy, member services, and events.Analyse campaign performance and donor data to optimise efforts and report on impact.Manage the marketing and fundraising budget effectively, finding creative ways to maximise limited resources.Maintain and develop the organisation's brand identity, messaging, and storytelling.About You
You're a strategic thinker who thrives in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.You have experience across marketing, communications, and fundraising, ideally in the not-for-profit sector.You're confident managing campaigns end-to-end — from strategy and content creation to delivery and evaluation.You have a knack for storytelling and understand what moves people to care and give.You lead with empathy and purpose and enjoy mentoring others.You bring a solutions-focused, can-do attitude and aren't afraid to get stuck in.Skills & Experience
10+ years' experience in marketing, communications, and / or fundraising roles.Strong digital skills including website CMS, social media, email marketing (Campaign Monitor), and CRM / donor platforms (Salesforce or similar).Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Experience managing staff and budgets.Prior experience in a not-for-profit, charity, or membership-based organisation (desirable).Why Work with Us?
