  • About the role

The accounts payable officer will be responsible for the full Accounts Payable function for MinRes. The day to day duties will include entering of invoices, reconciliations, liaison with site; ensure accurate and timely payment of suppliers and supplier queries.

  • Matching all invoices to the purchase orders before processing, resolving any queries with the support of purchasing and site personnel, and completing the necessary creditor reconciliations.
  • Completing the weekly EFT run, resolving any queries initiated from the signatories payment approvers and sending remittance advices to suppliers
  • Resolving all creditor / invoice queries for MinRes
  • Processing the prompt EFT payments
  • Responsible for the processing of all accounts which cover the company as a whole, including but not limited to, telephone accounts, electricity accounts, motor vehicle registrations and employee expense claims
  • Miscellaneous other administrative duties.
  • Complete ad-hoc projects as requested by the accountant.
  • About you
  • Previous accounts payable experience, ideally in a problem solving environment
  • Excellent attention to detail and a basic understanding of accounting principles
  • Advance understanding of Pronto accounting software
  • Strong MS office skills
  • Self-Motivated, able to work autonomously
  • Strong attention to detail
  • A positive team player who enjoys working in a supportive and dedicated team
